We are all going to get banned aren't we?

So wait, by government issued ID, you mean like a driver's license?

Well, what if some of us are 17+, but don't have a driver's license? That's not that fair, you know.
Every state has ID cards that you can get in lieu of a driver's license. In fact, you are supposed to get one at 18...

That is complete news to me since they don't say anything about that at the DMV.

I don't want screaming twelve year olds in my online experience,

Then mute them. Everybody is just being ridiculously lazy and not using any kind of common sense.

I shouldnt have to play with 12 year olds if Im playing an M rated game.

I dont have to sit next to a 12 year old in an R rated movie, or at a bar, so why should gaming be any differnet?

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Funny, because that is where you go to get it. What state are you in, I'll find the posting on the website, so you can fill out the forms.

I dont see how this would be useless.

At the very LEAST it would make parents more aware of the games their child is playing. That alone is a good thing.

How are they "unaware" if they should have been the ones to buy the game to start with?

VA; Thanks but im not going to get it seeing as it clearly isn't needed. When break is over im going to ask my classmates and teachers (Since they are 30-40) if they have even heard of this. My mom hasn't.

When I was in highschool I worked at gamestop for a few months. You wouldnt believe how many mothers came in and with their 10 year old sons and didnt even know what the game was called.

They would be like "Johnny what was the game called so the man can get it for you"

Seems pretty unaware to me.

That is parenting in which the parents should have been checking what they are paying for.

Do you walk into a store an spend 60 bucks on something without checking it out? Sure we do for video games because we already know what we are getting. But i don't buy 60 dollar pants or shoes without trying them on first.

  • 01.02.2013 11:42 AM PDT

Boltshot = mini shotgun

I could list many reasons against this, especially because I am (almost) 16. But I think sales would be the biggest issue.

No...The average gamer is a 37 year old that has been playing for over 20 years.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but gaming isn't aimed at kids.

So it's true because charlie says so? He doesn't bring up statistics in anything he writes so i don't know why you are going off him.

I am pretty sure nintendo screams children playing video games and they make more money than sony and microsoft combined because of it.

Listen I get what youre saying. but Im just telling you what happens.

Hell my mom did the same thing with me when I was little. I was playing Halo 2 and Grand theft Auto when I probably shouldnt have.

Shakes Magic 8 Ball

I'll be playing on the PC after the next wave of consoles come. They're too far behind in technology either way, plus there is a much better variety of games out on the PC.

The bloodiest game of that time was Doom or Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat is the very reason there IS an ESRB.

Before that, games weren't that bloody.

I think I'll quit gaming before I stand in one of those ridiculous lines at that hell hole again. The DMV is evil.
