Seriousily, I would like to congratulate you, for -blam!- up my main quest. I started a new guy, went to Solsthiem for a few hours. Went back to Skyrim, to continue where I left off, in my main quest, and it says I have to talk "to Alvor the Blacksmith", but he's always in his house, and when I talk to him, it will NOT -blam!- progress my main quest. It's -blam!- bugged. Can SOMEBODY HELP!!!!!!

I don't want to start another account for a digital number that has no true value in ten years.

That game is full with bugs, but it comes with a game that has as much detail put into it.

Wait outside the house using the wait feature, look at story walkthroughs and just progress without speaking to Alvor, most likely he's going to point you to another objective - when you trigger that objective it will progress you further without the need of speaking to Alvor

Fixed. Sorry, but the game is pretty barren when it comes to detail.

Waited millions of hours, he just won't come out of his house. This game has been out for over a year. Why can't Bethesda get their -blam!- together and fix this -blam!-ing bug.

Wait- this new bug?

...Why don't you just go to Whiterun and speak to the Jarl?

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

Do Bleak Falls Barrow then go to Whiterun and talk to Jarl Balgruf, that'll skip Alvor.

No, he's right. Skyrim doesn't have much detail. On xbox it only looks particularly nice from a distance. Up close it's all repetitive caves, houses and boring textures.

Haven't done the main quest in a while, and I don't remember what happens after you talk to "Alvor". But will it show the main quest as completed in both your stats and achievements, if you skip Alvor, or no???

It's your fault entirely that you're playing on the Xbox version, rather then the PC version.
Which I assume, got fixed by the Unofficial Skyrim patch from the Nexus.

There is just something magical about leaning your head back, letting your eyes roll into the back of your head, and taking a piss while floating in the swimming pool.

Skyrim is awesome. One of the best RPG's ever if not the best ever.

That's what I heard in this thread. But I want to know, will it complete the main quest I'm currently on where I have to talk to Alvor, if I skip it, or no????

Who's got AIDS?

Are you using the actual wait mechanic by pressing 'back' or 'select' or are you actually waiting in real time? When I used to play Skyrim, I kept spamming the 'wait' function to get an NPC in whiterun to come out. She never appeared. I'd suggest that you use the 'wait' function to make time start in the morning (or when the shops open) and then leave the area and return without fast traveling. It worked for me.
