MEDIC!

The PRT (Physical Readiness Test) might be a bit tough, I'm a 19 year old male, our standards are the most difficult out of every group.

I can run 6-7 miles in an hour no problem but my short legs give me a disadvantage when trying to beat a 1.5 mile in 11:00 min.

If for some reason this off topic video game forum has anyone who has gone through any boot camp of the US armed forces, could you give me some last minute advice, since this is the only forum I ever really partaken in.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

Clench your butt when you go to sleep.

Actually, the Navy's standards are the easiest out of all three branches. Slightly behind the Airforce that is.

It's pretty sad that these are the replies you get when you're about to join the military, OP.

The military isn't anything to be proud of.

Nice bait. Not hungry enough to bite though.

>Implying I'm trolling when that is a perfectly legitimate opinion.

About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

Oh don't worry, everyone sucks dick at running when they go in. No matter what standard you think you're at, you're really not anywhere near where they want you to be, and they know that. Thats why I'm not stressing terribly about getting into shape for Army Basic. I don't want to end up getting mixed up with the group of actually fit people and running more.

Most I've ever done was PT for JROTC. I doubt my advice will be of much use, but what I did was work on muscle endurance as opposed to strength. I did work on strength as well, but my main focus wasn't on it. And I just did practice runs and timed myself. As for the last minute, I drank a Red Bull.

That's really all I can give, but good luck.
Thanks, I hope they got a strong brew of coffee too.

Yeah well after navy boot camp, they'll send me to Hospital Corpsman school and then have me train with the Marines. Those are the true standards.

I wouldn't be "proud" to be part of any nation's military...I would, however, be proud of becoming efficient at killing.
