I am trying to download the student version of autodesk maya. My problem is that whenever I go to install it the installer thinks that maya is already installed on my computer. I looked at the "Uninstall a program" screen and maya isn't even there. I also did a search in my c drive and the regular windows 7 search on the bottom left and deleted everything that had autodesk or maya in its name. Then I used ccleaner to delete registry values that dealt with autodesk but my problem still persists. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Restart your computer, re download the application, boot it, see if it still suffers from the same problem, otherwise deep scan your computer and search for the root files of the application

Just rebooted and re installed like you said but I still got the same problem. Do you know any free program that can search for a word through everything in my computer?
