Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

I have ranked up my major skills 3 or 4 times each and yet I am still level 1. I don't understand what is going on. In Skyrim I would be at least level 7 by now. Am I doing something wrong guys?

Iūnō, Iuppiter, Minerva, Apollo, Mars, Ceres
Mercurius, Diāna, Bacchus, Volcānus, Plūtō, Vesta, Venus

Yeah, you're playing Oblivion like Skyrim

Every ten major skill level ups = 1 character level up.

"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for."

You need to rest to level up.

This.

Oblivion is a very different game from Skyrim. You gotta play differently.

In the way of part of the new Germany was Poland so Hitler and Stalin took it over so Germany could grow.

What.

If you're here then that means you're either trying to find my fileshare or trying to see what my rank is to make fun of me for being a low rank

Mock me all you want, Halo isn't my life and that shows in my record

Keep in mind you're the one making fun of me for a fictional rank in a video game than has no meaning

Yeah, you're playing Oblivion like Skyrim
Probably this

Oblivion is more a mix of a traditional RPG and an action-adventure game, rather than Skyrim which is an action adventure game with minimal RPG features

I did go to sleep, this isn't my first run through. Nothing happened

  • 01.02.2013 12:10 PM PDT

Yes, ranking up in Oblivion is a little slower than ranking up in Skyrim.

Did you sleep in a bed? You can't just rest out in a field.

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

1. You have to sleep to level up.
2. Pick Conjuration and farm that to 100 by summoning skeletons.
3. Pick Light Armor and Heavy Armor. Farm those up to 100 by letting the fighters in the arena beat the -blam!- out of you while wearing the corresponding raiment.
4. Pick sneak and crouch-walk around the follower you get from finishing the arena. Do this until your sneak is 100. You can pickpocket him repeatedly too.

Real account.

Join me as we make new friends from different communities!

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

I remember when I first played Oblivion...

I didn't rank up until about halfway through the Brotherhood questline.

yup yup
go into the menu and see how far you are from leveling up. Sounds like you just aren't ready to level.

You, I don't like you.

"Rank up"? I believe you mean "level up".

In Skyrim I would...

that thar's your problem

  • 01.02.2013 12:14 PM PDT

"So- So this means Im just going to be miserable for the rest of time?!"

"No. This means that you have to live life to the fullest. You have one life, live it well. Make sure you die without regrets. Get a new life, new mate, new family. You, out of all people, don't deserve a terrible fate of misery like that. Having nothing to look forward to is good. It makes sure you want to keep on going. Living is a right, not a privilege."

Its more difficult to level up in Oblivion, even harder to fool the system without spending hours casting the same spell over again and drinking magicka potions.

So when you say you're level 50, you got there legitimately, and you are an experienced player/badass.

once you get acrobatics and athletics to 100 you can practically fly across the map by running and jumping.
