Mine are exorcism films. Especially the found footage ones.

What about you?

I keep on getting in conversations with a person who calls me John.

Ones that aren't far-fetched and could happen to you in real life.

I've got a fan!

I've always been a fan of Final Destination. The last one in particular was really good.

Scary movies don't scare me. I don't know why.

Maybe it's because real life murderers are more threatening than a flying white bed sheet with two eye holes.

We work in the dark to serve the light.

Alien was pretty good. Sci-fi suspense thriller, I suppose.

Ones involving little children and cheap jump scares.

no its legit, i used coordinates, set weapon timers the works.

I mentioned this in another thread, but the only film that has ever scared the living -blam!- outa me is The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

To this day, if I happen to wake up around 3 a.m., I will not fall back asleep until after 4.

Or when the priest runs out of his house to find Satan standing at the end of his yard giving the "game on" nod.

It relies too much on suspense and not character development or even a clear motive for the killers who are in and of themselves uninspired. And before you say it, as much as an awesome and suspenseful quote, "Because you were home." is, doesn't excuse how absolutely awful the plot and motives are.

Character development? In a horror movie? Surely you jest.

Plus didn't the male protagonist kill his friend due to him thinking he was one of the killers? Or am I thinking of a different movie? My point in mentioning that is, that I think it was very stupid when that happened.

RIP Derek Farley

Psychological horrors scare me the most. And I love it. Ones that could possibly happen can get pretty freaky, too.
