I think its a glorified book burning...that people are getting paid to participate in.

You think they'd realize this won't actually do anything.

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

the media will blame anything to distract us from the real issue at hand

Quote from Confucius

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

Take action addressing a possible connection to the problem, while not taking action against the problem

Why ?

Ask smart questions

Fight violent games by being violent. These people are geniuses.

  • 01.02.2013 2:50 PM PDT

Stupidity. Do they realise that millions of people around the world play violent games?

  • 01.02.2013 2:50 PM PDT

The soldiers, the lovers, the cowards, the brave
We're all on this world, we got what we gave

Yes, and book burning in the past never did anything, either. Video games will stay, violent or not.

Why, hello there.

Yes, violent video games are exactly the reason for these shootings.

*waves at the UK, Australia, and other countries*

Your move, American media.

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead

i belive shhave funzes suppos

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.

That's really sad. A political party brainwashing these people to push an agenda of banning new media, taking advantage of a tragedy.

It's pointless and proves nothing. While they are trying to prevent more massacres by getting these games off the hands of children and by burning them, they're only promoting the opposite idea that games are the core of the issue here when in fact couldn't be farther from the truth. Considering the factors for the massacre of clear mental illness, proper parenting and gun safety (in the home especially), video games are the least of their worries.

(V)!_!(V) crab

it's not meant to imply that the shooting was inspired by games. Instead, the group makes a broader statement that "violent video games, along with violent media of all kinds... has contributed to increasing aggressiveness, fear, anxiety and is desensitizing our children to acts of violence including bullying

Southington Superintendent of Schools Joe Erardi, however, insists that this is an independent movement that doesn't necessarily condemn the media it's destroying. "Our message is fairly simple: have the conversation with your child," he says. "If you conclude your child is done with these games, drop them off and let's move forward. That is all."

Seems reasonable considering the westerns world thirst for violent media. I dont understand why you guys have your panties in a wad.
