Subject: Whats your opinion on the group Anonymous?

Remember, grammar is the difference between; "I helped my uncle Jack off a horse." And "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."

They don't steal personal info and hack into people's accounts do they?
They're just a bunch of talent less hacks imo, no pun intended.

Do they just mess around or do they really like hack into accounts and take money?
I don't really know what they do to be honest, but don't really care either, they're hypocritical douche bags that hide behind mask and empty threats.

That's what they do, yes
If OP is talking about the anon group that have a thing against governments, then no, they don't hack into peoples accounts.

They're for real. They can hack governments. Banks. Just about anything they want to.

How many have been arrested? They can mess with the government all they want, just don't touch my stuff or my family's.
Don't worry, they don't mess with people like you and I, they go for people with power that they disagree with

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Personally I think they are a bunch of immature geeks who try and take the law into their own hands by breaking laws already in place. Hbu?

Anonymous is Batman.

So you all are referring to the hacktivist group right? Because you all seem confused.

For far too long Encyclopedia Dramatica has gone without proper information regarding the Anonymous collective, mainly due to the fact that, for years, such a write-up was completely unnecessary. These were the ages when Anonymous was simply the army of /b/, an anarchistic troll force with a slight touch of moral-blam!-ry that progressively grew stronger. Today, the masses know Anonymous as "a hacktivist collective" that, through means of packets, protesting, and web defacement work to defend and preserve such ideologies as free speech, freedom of the press, etc. At the same time, news stories occasionally float up detailing 4chan campaigns to bring grief to grieving families, or send pop stars to communist nations. Any reader looking to inquire knowledge on such people, and with a solid lack of e-culture knowledge, would now be asking themselves questions that can broadly be placed under the what, who, and why categories.

That force still exists on 4chan and I've seen it, Anonymous is just a collection of masses of people who do something. You all seem to confuse this with the hackivist group. The prior is the group getting cat abusers arrested, the former are the more organized hackers not associated with 4chan.

So it wasn't Anonymous who were involved with that Jessi Slaughter incident?

No? Anonymous is a hacktivist group, 4chan is an image board and not synonymous. Anonymous is not 4chan and 4chan is not /b/. Sorry if I came off as rude as well.

I find they have two core ironies that I cannot easily ignore.

1: They state that they are advocates/protectors of free-speech, but their most common form of protest and action is to disconnect those whose speech (that they disagree with) from the medium that allows communication. In other words, they silence/censor those with whom they have an issue or disagree.

2: That their other main course of action is to steal and publicize names and personal data of others, while advocating their own anonymity/privacy.
Sounds a lot like Edgar J. Hoover.

That was Anonymous trolls from 4chan who were getting her to rage. The hacktivist group is who is doing all the dumb crap today and going away from their original ideas commonly based on those of the masses of people who did their -blam!- from 4chan like freedom of speech and shiz.

Are you asking how many people the hacktivists have messed with or how many people Anonymous users from 4chan have messed with.

Either way it is a really large amount as one hacked PSN and other stuff like that and the other group Dox's hundreds of thousands of people by this point and pizza bombs them or just calls them a ton to troll.

The majority were charged with DDoS attacks and many were tennagers. Not sure what penalty they got. Different countries, different rules. Ya now.
