It's very limited and is held back from it's true potential by numerous problems and shortcomings, but it's a decent game. Just watch out for stray glitches and bugs.
^You prefer Morrowind the most, right?^
Ah, that was a great game. So much nostalgia from that.
Aside from the bugs and glitches, and possibly the combat, first time TES players don't find many problems with Skyrim.
As a player since Morrowind, these would be my criticisms of Skyrim:
-"Cities" are laughably small, and the game has broken the tradition of having a central "hub/grand" city that is HUGE in every game.
-Removal of interesting skills such as Athletics and Acrobatics (destroying my Ninja Assassin Build)
-Generalizing the skills and leveling up system (though this makes it easier for newcomers and casuals)
-Quests lack creativity (e.g - where are the quests like "Whodunit?" from Oblivion?). Most of the quests involve fetching items or going from A to B, or killing this thing or that thing.
-Civil War was a let down (those -blam!- unkillable commanders in the remaining enemy camps!) due to the lack of variety in ending it (no option for taking Ulfric prisoner, for example) and the fact there was no resistance movement or underground backlash from the defeated party.
That's about all the troubles I've had with the game, and I've played ALL of Bethesda's games, and clocked up nearly 300 hours on Skyrim. It's still a worthy purchase and everyone should play it given the opportunity.
