Good for them.

Finally standing up and taking action against the menace responsible for all this senseless violence.

Rose, you're not funny.

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

Why does my country always have to find a scapegoat and blame something/someone?

Why don't we actually fix the problem? Our healthcare, especially mental healthcare, is just awful. Doctors are more likely to just throw the flavor of the month pill at you and send you on your way because most of them get paid based on how many patients they see. There are few good doctors that actually care about their patients now. Everything is always about money.

Music, Movies and games.

Why not the granddaddy of media?

Books should be included, or is that a little too close to Fahrenheit 451?

Eh fair enough. I personally see it as a waste of money but it's for the cause so I guess it's fine for them. I don't really support the cause but I don't oppose it. Good for them, standing by what they believe in, even if I don't feel the same way about it.

Okay so incinerating video games is fine since it somehow provokes violence, when the easiest solution they could do is ban firearms to stop shootings from happening...

Posted by: jakster11
Just ban firearms.

Why can't they comprehend this solution?

/facepalm

Why don't we burn people? Pretty sure they're a bigger cause of violence.

*claps*

RIP Logan ~B.B.

Really, burn them? Let's pretend for a second violent games are really to blame. Even if that were true, who can possibly look back on history and say symbolically burning 'evil' media has ever has ever done a cause any good?

If you were my son, I'd be proud.
This. I'd take you out for a dinner at your favorite restaurant.

Quoted by a Mod. Call me a suck up, but I feel pretty damn awesome right now.

That's such a waste. Friggin' disgusting.

You know who else burned media he didn't like? Hitler.
That was forced. This is voluntary, and for those who want to get more violent videogames, it's a better trade in deal than they'd get at Gamestop.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Or just go to Gamestop/whatever local store you have and get some $1 M rated games.

I see nothing wrong with this. It's not even mandatory so I don't know why you all are freaking out.

Holy -blam!- that was fast.

And quite honestly this isn't surprising. But for old games, a lot -blam!- better than going to gamestop. I'd just trade the gift card to a friend who would go there and get actual cash to buy a new game.

I've been playing Halo since 2002. My earliest memories include hiding at the shotgun window on Damnation and killing my dad with grenades while playing co-op on Pillar of Autumn.

The situation is actually very similar, minus the war thing and the "firemen"

Also, the story goes the shooter in Newtown played Mass Effect. Why are people mad over this? Have they even played the game or know what it is remotely similar to?

Because its not a kindergartener murderer simulator, that's for damn sure.
Sadly, the American media is retarded so they'll blow everything they can out of proportion in order to make a quick buck.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I'll take all their games for proper disposal

If I ever get AIDS, I'm going to sleep with another AIDS person so my AIDS cancel each other out, or I'm going to make the AIDS I already have worse.

Yay for our freedoms!
Or you know, they could fundraise money to get people checked out by a mental institution if they suspect some of being mentally deranged.

Seems a bit violent for a group protesting violence.
lol.

Honestly parents need to learn to watch what their kids play. If little Tommy asks for Call of Duty, don't buy it JUST because he asked for it. Look at Tommy. Can he tell reality from fantasy or does Tommy still like to play make believe? Is Tommy somewhat old enough to play it?

And if you DO but little Tommy Call of Duty, watch him. He starts to look up guns on the Internet and suddenly wants a gun liscense* then you may have a problem. Stop the problem before Tommy can go out and get a gun by himself. Don't let him grow up into some crazed madman.

*Of course little Tommy can get the gun illegally if he really wants to.
