I know I could easily break this record.No. You would die.
why? the kid did it and he was fine. I have gone a little over 48 hours and I was perfectly fine. Sure when I stopped moving I passed out, but as long as I kept doing stuff I would make itActually some effects of lacking the REM cycle in deep sleep or severe sleep deprivation: Stroke, Heart Attacks, Heart Failure, Hallucinations, Mental Illness, Psychiatric Problems, loss of basic and higher cognitive functions, loss of basic and higher mobility functions, high blood pressure, seizures, possible organ failure and death. Those who set the previous records were all carefully monitored in experiments by experts.
For things like hallucinations and mental instability you may never ever recover from.
Some of what I listed is from the more extreme cases where disorders lead to long-term sleep deprivation, but keep in mind it is not just a "get up and go" record.

I know I could easily break this record.THAT is an overstatement to say the least. My brother is in the US Marine Corps and in a half-staffed security forces field. He was pulling a triple (maybe quadruple) shift and was up for somewhere around 106+ hours when he just dropped at the wheel of the armored vehicle he was driving on patrol. I guess he leaned on the gas but he hit a tree hard enough for his head to crack the windshield, his chest to snap the seat belt and break off the steering wheel, crumple the front end, buckle in an armored door on his leg, and crack his "bulletproof" helmet and vest. It almost killed him. If he wasn't wearing his protective equipment he would have been killed no questions. For a while afterwards and even in the hospital he was going in and out of consciousness due to "Microsleeps," which force you into a sleep no matter what activity you are doing.
Needless to say it is not something to do unmonitored and in most attempts for the record you are actually allowed to sleep, just not fall into REM sleep which is the most important part of your sleep. Bad things happen if you are deprived of your REM sleep long enough.
