Lol this thread.
OT: Halo 4 is the only Halo game I have not and will not buy. Until Halo 5 and 6 are launched.
It's clear that Halo is moving away from a skilful shooter where the best players come out on top. Weapon control has been removed and made randomised, random weapon spawns means there is less incentive for map control and movement, aim assist has been made even more powerful so that aiming is even easier. You can spawn with a mauler in your back pocket, the gimmick of sprint returns, you have to unlock the ability to spawn with certain weapons, no one spawns equal any more, you can spawn with practically a Mauler in your back pocket. Dynamic spawns are everywhere. There is no win-loss ranking system because everyone from Call of Duty and Battlefield id used to being able to reach the top rank, so if you give them a ranking system where reaching the top rank requires skill, they get butthurt. Join in progress ruins fair matches. Regicide, seriously? Why does the guy in the lead need to have a big ass waypoint over his head? To punish the guy who is the best? I could list these kind of things all day.
Everything new in Halo 4 has been designed specifically to even the field, to make bad players feel good and good players feel dissatisfied because the game is now based more on luck and is inherently easier than ever before.
Halo 4 doesn't have one large, potentially game breaking flaw like Halo 3 did (AR starts). But Halo 4 has hundreds and hundreds of little flaws which are bad for gameplay and I've had enough of this crap, which is why I now play PC games.
