I am indifferent. I wonder if the people who come out of those school can talk regularly to the opposite gender?

I attend one. Sure, the education is better, but the lack of female contact is just... Disappointing.

We must pity this man...

Lolno. In fact, the opposite is true. Everyone goes insane when they see the opposite gender (unless they're fugly, of course)
So..lack of ability to interact with the opposite gender, which is just as bad.
I'm not arguing for it, i'm simply stating my observations. And interaction doesn't seem to be hugely impacted, regardless.

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

I figured that would cause more fighting. (over the limited females)

Well I can still talk to girls but there is a sense of uneasyness about it. Its not an awkwardness thing its just like an uncharted area which it shouldn't feel like.

It is stupidly hard to get back the things single sex schools rob you of.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I see it as a parent's decision and prerogative, especially if single-gender schools are private.

On the Left

Godshatter: I can go all the way with someone without being attracted to them.
CamCamm: How does that work?
Godshatter: I'm easily aroused by anything that moves. It's a curse.
Brain says 'No, that's ugly', body says 'ugly is fine with me'.

Less distraction.
That's the type of knuckle draging thought process that keeps these stupid things in existence. Repressing human nature isn't going to ensure someone is performing better. Hormones are still there and they will always distract people. Hell in my own experience the absence of girls in the school environment just causes guys to be dicks. between repressed hormones and being surrounded by -blam!-s I think I would of performed better if I was just being "distracted" by girls.

Im sure when they send kids to these schools, they don't care for their personal/private achievements but more for their future occupation.

I'm pretty sure that those schools would see a drastically higher rate of -blam!- relationships than bi-gender schools.

lolno.

I am in my final year at my single gender school. I had the choice of going here or to a mixed gender school, but then and now, I'd choose the single school over mixed any day.

Idk i dont support single gender schools but a friend of mine attended an all boys school and he said its hilarious. everyone just pulls pranks and follows the stereotype of "boys will be boys".

thought. you think the boys that go to these schools would just treat girls the same way they treat their friends who are boys at school?

  • 01.03.2013 5:48 PM PDT

Parents that send their kids to those pretty much ruin the child's life.

There's a “U” and “I” in union but just an “I” in my beliefs

Imagine being one guy in an all girl school.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but please tell me how you think that effects your social skills with the opposite gender.

I'm at one, but there's an all-girls school only a mile or 2 away that we do stuff with frequently. Actually, it's not as bad or -blam!- as it sounds.

Lack of affection(for the most part) between students allows for more concentration on work then a relationship.

  • 01.03.2013 5:55 PM PDT

I go to a mixed-gender school. I find the people from the local all-boys school egotistical and elitist, and the girls from the local all-girls school (for the most part) okay.

As for the people at my school... well, we have a fairly large amount of chavs, but most of us are pretty nice people, who do fairly well and try to achieve our best.
