Marley: next time try to be a little for inconspicuous.
John: What do you mean?
Marley: John, we grow lots of gear, right?
John: Yeah loads...
Marley: So try not to come back with a wasted girl and a packet of fertilizer!
a 'machinima mode' that, once activated (it can be toggled on and off), unlocks all armour and loadouts. I can say with more than a little bit of experience that this would be super-helpful. However, to kinda balance it out, perhaps there could be a symbol next to your gamertag in matchmaking that tells them you're in machinima mode so people can't go round yelling "wololol, i haz recon!!!1one11!!!!1!"
I dunno, just a thought.
Following on from that, theatre for all modes.
Also, scenery pieces for all maps. I'm talking about things like crates, chairs, human antenna, computers. Stuff that could be used to make a room in a building look more 'lived in'. I thought this was a really great feature in halo 3 and could not for the life of me understand why it was taken out.
Human air vehicles in multiplayer/forge
A balance of experience-unlocked armour and achievement-unlocked armour. One of the things I liked about armour in halo 3 was pieces kinda 'meant something' (in the loosest possible way). You knew that if someone had recon they'd really worked for it (except the guy that was killed by a cone), same went for the katana and so forth.
Lush, epic and varied natural environments. This is possibly the thing I love most about halo games and is certainly what got my past self hooked on the series. While this element isn't completely missing from halo 4 you only have to look at the variety of the colours, atmospheres and locations of the halo 3 maps.
I hate using examples purely from halo 3 because i'm doubtless going to labelled a hipster and/or a fanboy. Regardless, this is how I feel.
