[/quote]Doesn't matter. You ALWAYS treat a gun as if it is loaded.

I do have to admit, this makes people wonder when i ride it.

Yes that is what you think it is.

Still better than falling from a holster, and easy access.

How come NOBODY turns the safety on?

Almost looks like a glock but i dont think it is. Some guns like glocks and some 1911s dont have an actual safety switch, but have safety measures, like aback strap, double trigger safety and a press safety for you cant fire while the barrel or slide is pushed in.

Still, it remains, if you dont know the gun, how can you be sure it is safe. If i have someone at my house, and leave my gun unloaded, ill still check it when i pick it up just to be sre.

Okay seriously, stop with the gun flamebait. The people were just plain stupid and it's a shame that they had figure it out this way but....

It's common sense. I was at my friends house one time he had a pistol laying on the table. Before I picked it up to check it out I asked him if it was loaded. I pretty much knew it wasn't, but I wanted to make sure first.

Pistol just laying on the table? Sounds like a great place to keep a gun.

The lesson here is to never pose with a gun pointed at a person's head. But I can guarantee that more people start to pose with loaded guns pointed at someones head.

My friends wont touch a persons gun unless offered.

But yes, knowledge of its current state is crucial.

Of course mine is always loaded, with one in the barrel, so its always holstered.

I live alone, and mine goes on my entry table next to my keys.

No reason not to, when i sleep it goes on my night stand.

Different if you live with family or friends.

He was doing something with it and he has no young siblings. So it wasn't a danger to anybody and it wasn't loaded and it didn't have any ammo near it.

Even with the safety on, it's a goddamn pistol, all you have to do is accidentally snap the switch to on and your comrade will be brained.

This is also why I prefer rifles to pistols, and if I ever get the money, I'll be getting an M1A1 Carbine instead of pistol. Less paperwork as well. Not to mention there'd be a lot of Darwin Awards going around if you were so stupid that you shot yourself with a rifle.

I could of had one. After WW2 my grandpa managed to take his home with him. He let one of his friends use it for hunting and the guy died from a heart attack during it. He felt bad for his son so he let him keep it.

Right, because murder or any other gun related violence doesn't happen anywhere else in the world.

GODDAMMIT, I FORGOT AN 'A' IN THAT POST!

And that's awesome. If I ever get an M1A1, it'd be from a local Big 5 that gets replicas.
It's certainly an awesome gun though, I'd want an M1 Garand more than anything else, but those are more expensive, uncommon, and would cause numerous sore shoulders. Not to mention that if I ever tried out hunting, I doubt I could kill -blam!- with BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG CLANG!

You're not the only one. I forgot to add an "and" after hunting. I made a mistake on the gun. I meant the M1 Garand I didn't look at your post that carefully. I thought I seen M1 Garand.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

That's a clear case of someone who doesn't respect what the gun can do. Every gun is loaded, at all times. Even if you know the gun has no bullets in it, it's still loaded.
