They should teach gun safety in schools, such as Assemblies or the D.A.R.E (I know it's for drugs, but Cops know how to shoot) program.
Honestly, kids shouldn't be around guns. I think it would be great for cops to incorporate firearms safety into their D.A.R.E classes (if they don't already). But in basic terms, kids should stay away from guns. Teaching your kid how to shoot when he's older is one thing, but teaching small kids how to shoot is wrong IMO.

Wouldn't it be better to have them know what NOT to do with a gun on the off chance that they find one than to accidentally shoot themselves or someone else?

Well I guess I'm going to have to have the debate with myself, just for good measure.

- It's pretty clear that you people need to up the gun control.
- No it's not. These two were just idiots.
- Yes. So fix the gun control.
- Guns aren't the problem, people are the problem!
- Do you know how to solve that problem?
- ... no.
- Okay, so away with the ridiculously open gun laws.
- But ... but I like them.

DID THEY GET THE PICTURE OR NOT?!?!

Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lube.

That's why you check the chamber.

Or better yet, not pose with guns to look like a *white voice* gangster.

Lol, why are the guns always loaded.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I do not consider the intentional misuse or abuse of a dangerous object that results in death to be "an accident".

It may not have been intentional, but it was certainly not an accident.

Playing in traffic and getting hit by a car doesn't make your injuries accidental.

Juggling knives and getting cut is not an "accident". It is a foreseeable outcome and could have been avoided it you hadn't done something stupid AND dangerous.

Skwid

Another case of people being irresponsible with guns. Honestly, they violated one of the biggest unspoken "rules" out there. NEVER point a loaded/unloaded gun at anyone unless you are using it to protect yourself.

You guys realize that this is the tabloid that published stories on Obama meeting with aliens and the finding of a second Ark with another Ten Commandments inside of it, right?

Why post pictures of yourself with a gun? It doesn't make you look hard at all
speak for yourself

OT: R.I.P Ortiz, Obama seriously needs to do something about how easy it is to get a gun in america

This is what happens when it's easy to get a gun.

  • 01.03.2013 2:35 PM PDT

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.
~M.D~

If you're posing with a gun, why not check to see if it was loaded? Why would you pull the trigger? Why pose with a gun in the first place?
I don't understand these people. My heart goes out to the family though :/

They couldn't have at least checked to see if it was loaded?

  • 01.03.2013 2:48 PM PDT

What a waste....

Why was it even loaded?

Seriously...

God...The number of images of deaths I've seen in my forensic books due to people 'playing' with guns is shocking.
