Subject: Skrillex released his Leaving EP today

He came out with some new stuff today, some surprisingly decent.

Full EP
Leaving
The Reason
Scary Bolly Dub

Leaving is definitely the most notable thing on the EP. Hoping he'll go ahead and make some more dubstep in its style. Everything else on the is meh, to me at least.

Never liked his stuff.

Lol at all the little kids whining about how it's not like his other songs.

  • 01.03.2013 12:26 PM PDT

Skrillex sucks.

He's the Justin Beiber of dubstep, including a -blam!- hairstyle and retarded fans.

Old School

meh its crap, just on the coatails of whats "in" from like two years ago. going for the whole slowed vocals james blake vibe.

Justin Bieber has talent though.

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

-Me

I don't like his stuff typically, but this is just pretty chill. Good stuff to kick back and relax to

Don't punch a British kid, the queen'll come after you.

Listened to Leaving

That was surprisingly not bad, I like how he's actually using some real sub-bass in his music instead of that metallic screeching he did before, it's got a nice future garage vibe.

The drums aren't great though.

I've never thought his stuff was bad.

Then again I'm not an uber electronica fan like some people.

RIP Logan ~B.B.

Is this really what kids are into these days? A 5 second loop of a handful of computer generated tones with a single word repeated by Microsoft Sam 200x over it? I feel sorry for anyone who could mistake it for music.

Why don't we just share the hill?

Leaving Don't like it.
The Reason Slightly better than Leaving
Scary Bolly Dub Decent, not great.

I prefer his other stuff.

  • 01.03.2013 12:37 PM PDT

:)

I preferred his old stuff.

Lately he just gave into the temptation of mainstream Dubstep and just filled his songs with bass-drops.

I hate Dubstep.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

That was pretty bad hahah

You might not like it, I don't like it that much either but don't be so presumptuous as to not call it music.

He's leaving, or the EP is "leaving"?

This, I like the new EP, but it feels sort of confused, like he himself isn't sure what he wants to do.

This is true, I'm glad he is, and it's quite amusing seeing all the 12 year olds get mad at him for changing.

Funnily enough, for an artist famed for his "dirty bass drops" this is one of his very few songs with actual bass.

Inasmuch as I could repeatedly hit myself in the face with a wiffleball bat and call the sound it makes music, maybe. Confused that skrillex was indeed not some sort of cooking utensil, I clicked the link and wasn't sure if my computer was crashing or it was some sort of new rickroll I had fallen for. If that is actual music, I'm the King of England.
