We should know better, because we are better.

I think a battlefront-styled faction warfare game would work better than a smash clone, what with so many 360 games being shooters.

Not necessarily exclusive to, well, exclusives since there aren't many big ones.

Now that you mention it, that would be pretty awesome.

I sort of always imagined how that would work. You'd have space battles and ground battles, but with each faction having a different combat effectiveness rating out of a thousand. An example scenario, factions like the UNSC would have a rating of 200 (spitballing) on ground and say 190 in space while the opposing faction (say the Imperial Guard) would have a terrestrial rating of 300 and a space rating of 850, or something.

Experience and/or personal score earned would be scaled depending on the relationship between the two factions. A kill made by the UNSC against the Guard in space would get significantly more points for the UNSC player than a kill made against the Covenant for example.

You'd have classes. UNSC would have Marine (soldier) Assassin (sniper) and Spartan III (Elite) with a hero unit being Master Chief. The Guard would have correlating units with a hero being Guillimen or one of the other Primarchs (despite being an assymetrical game, there'd still be some balancing going on). Each unit in each class would have different abilities related to their faction in their respective universes, so the Forerunners would a lot of tech-based abilities and Imperial Guard would have copius amounts of Reserves.
