Whenever I run halo I get the message:

"A problem occurred initializing direct3d. Hardware

acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG."

I ran DXDIAG , and everything is updated to the fullest. Im very desperate, Could someone please help me?

* Make sure you have DirectX 9.0c.
* Make sure your graphics card has the latest drivers.
* Reinstall Halo.

Also, on the dxdiag menu, go to the "Display" tab and make sure that DirectDraw acceleration, Direct3D acceleration, and AGP texture acceleration are all enabled.

I had the same problem some time ago. Turns out, all I needed was the hotfix 1.07.

If that don't work, reinstall the game.

It doesn't matter, as it's probably just a patch issue.

Not always. I got that error on my laptop because my GPU Driver was corrupt. You can get it because DirectX is corrupt.

Try Installing the 1.07 patch first.
If that Fails, reintsall Halo.
If that Fails, reinstall Direct X. Get it off Microsofts Website, or off the Halo CD.
If all fails, reinstall your GPU driver. (speaking of, what kind of graphics card do you have?)
If none of that works, well, sucks for you I guess.
