Hey guys, I managed to get this on my clipboard before OP was banned. Have fun
I've been playing halo for a while now and I learned some things from experience. Maybe you could use this knowledge as well. This applies to halo 4, of course. It may or may not be of use to you so don't complain.
If you haven't already, I highly recommend you test all of the controller layouts instead of just picking the one you think is easiest. I recommend you test this in solo spartan ops. Personally, I use recon.
When driving vehicles with other players gunning for you, do not go around randomly driving as fast as possible getting into danger. Understand your goal is for you to splatter and your gunners to gun, to kill as many people as possible. Do not honk at all unless are trying to get teammate attention to get in the vehicle. Otherwise, it will alert the enemy of your presence and give them an advantage, which is never good. Slow down or stop if you see enemies in mid range, so your gunnies can attack. If enemies are too close drive to a safe mid range distance so your gunnies can attack. You can also splatter your enemies of course but it can be dangerous as they can stick you with plasma grenades, I do not recommend it, avoid whenever possible. If you are a gunnie and your driver is acting like an idiot and doing everything I told you not to do, feel free to exit the vehicle if it is safer. If you are a gunnie do NOT fire randomly, it will alert enemies and put you and your team in danger.
If you are going to splatter an enemy with a ghost, you may want to try goingup to them slowly without speeding, this will put them into a false sense of security and they will be fooled into trying to board your vehicle, instead you will speed up very close to them. This has cons however, enemies could instead stick you or do some other trick that will kill/injure you. I use this 90% of the time when ramming and 90% of the time they fall for it.
Whenever using a power weapon or vehicle, decide whether it will help your team or put them in danger. Lets say I find a SAW, I decide not to use the SAW because I suck with the SAW and it could fall into enemies hands and hurt me and my team. Same applies to other weapons and vehicles.
Also remember to think twice before you engage enemies, if you are out numbered flee or get help. I've saved myself from certain death many times from doing this.
Active camo is, in my opinion, the best armor ability. It is especially great for escaping certain death scenarios like a mantis or ghost attack. If you don't already have it in at least one loadout, please do, it's great.
Practice in custom games with friends. Try different loadouts and tactics and experiment with what is best. This can really help you out a lot.
I hope this has helped people out some. If you want to thank me, share some of your advice, I'd really appreciate it.
