Rustled Jimmies

I use my xbox to play games, not to look at ads. I only see one add on the bottom right (usually where the youtube app is). the only way i'm going to hear it is if i scroll over to it. Its not like they're making you watch an ad before your game starts

I actually watch the ads quite often. Couldn't care less.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I never really realize that they are even there most of the time.

I don't mind them. Often, they seem to be for services on the Xbox, such as Netflix or Lovefilm.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

Pretty much. They're like 1"x1" and are located in the bottom corner...why throw a fit? I pay every month so I can play video games and interact with other people, not stare at a beautiful dashboard. However, if you're paying monthly to stare at a beautiful dashboard, you need to find a new hobby.

If Fed Ex and UPS merged into one company, would it be called Fed Up?

I don't want to start another account for a digital number that has no true value in ten years.

I don't spend much time at the dashboard unless I know what I'm doing, don't care for ads

I do. I get distracted instead of playing a game. Also gold lost it's value because of ads.

Great minds discuss ideas

Average minds discuss events

Small minds discuss people

People get upset because they pay for the service and then see Microsoft pulling in more money with advertisement. I personally don't care, I think that Xbox is supporting a huge catalog of services in which many of them are unnecessary/unprofitable and should be cut.

I don't really mind the ads on the dashboard. It's the freaking ads on Halo Waypoint I hate.

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

Damn, I thought xboxes were getting very sick for a second after reading the title.

But what else would I do to fill the time?

It's the principle. Why are there ads if we are already PAYING for the service?

Remember, grammar is the difference between; "I helped my uncle Jack off a horse." And "I helped my uncle jack off a horse."
Hyperlinks, you know you want to click 'em

I don't really care about them, I see them and I don't, but think about it this way, ads are a way to help pay for something i.e. commercials on services like Last.fm, Hulu and Crackle. If the service is already being paid for in this case Xbox Live, than the expenses are covered, so there is no need for the ads, especially the ones that have nothing to do with gaming or possibly winning something gaming related. Having ads on the PS3 would make more sense, since the online service for PS3 is free.

At least someone sees my point.
