by going through heartbreak and feeling like no one loves you? no thanks. You can become great friends with people without dating them.Doesn't heartbreak only make you stronger? Since about 40% of marriages end in divorce, it's good to be prepared for that as well.
Be the 60% then.
Heartbreak did not make me stronger. All wounds heal. Except death. But that's aside the point.
Also, is there some sort of a guarantee that a certain person will be in the 60%? Most don't actually want to break their own hearts, they have no choice. It's best to be prepared for and expect the worst.
best to love the other person and take the chance that your bond will be broken by something other than death? no thanks. Wouldnt you want to be certain that you would be with the person you marry for the rest of your life?"I meant all wounds heal" (with time) as in that you will begin to become stronger over time after your heartbreak. Death is an exception from healing, for obvious reasons, unless we want to talk about cryonics. I digress again.
And yes, when I am married, I want to be sure that I will not have to divorce, and I want to be certain in it. Will I be certain, though? No, nothing is certain.
