Sure would be nice if they actually gave me an argument as to why I SHOULDN'T care about this. I gave 100 bucks to a company that didn't even make half the game. Of course, why should I care, it doesn't affect me in anyway! It's not like I expected 343i to do a great job, hyped up their game before launch and then suddenly I learn that the reason for my disappointment for this game not only comes from them not maintaining the game correctly, but also them not even making most of the parts I play.

It's nice to see the Halo 4 Hate Force is still thriving in full throttle. The games quality is purely opinion and you will do anything to Hate people for liking it.

That's why you stay away from hype to avoid dissapointment. If you have no expectations, you have nothing to be dissapointed about.

I was hyped for Battlefront II all those years ago.
I still play it to this day.

I way hyped for Final Fantasy XIII.
I have over 100+ hours on it.

I was hyped for Halo 3.
It's my most played game on XBL.

I was hyped for MW2.
Have a 10,000+ kills on it.

I was hyped for Okami back in December of 06.
I have ten different saved datas for it on my memory card.

I was hyped for Halo 4.
I was disappointed.

What happened? What went wrong in the timeline?

Well what went wrong is that you learned that being hyped for something doesn't guarantee it will be good or not.

I'm too knowledgeable to set my expectations low. :(

I suppose the only way I could set it low is to pretend Bungie's Halo never existed... but why should I do that?

This just reinforces the whole "Too many cooks spoil the broth" metaphor that applies so well to Halo 4.

Maybe next time they should look up the words focus and consistency.

^Better said than I could have.

Really? Wow I didn't know they didn't even do spartan ops. I would say halo 4 is okay at best but its a dissapoint

The easiet way to avoid hype spoiling thegame for you is to only find out just enough to decide if you like the game or not. Then just don't read or watch any sort of information again, and that way you will not have any expectations.

That way everything you find in the game will be new and cool, and more importantly, you wont be expecting things to be there that wont be, or expecting things to be different.

Essentially spoilers do more than one way of spoiling. They spoil you and set your bar too high so if the game is not 100% perfect to the info released, you will be dissapointed in some way.

Companies have relied on other companies to develop content for how long now? It's like saying movie producers should be fired for having a company that specializes in CGI make the CGI.

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

I'm happy for you. No, 343i designed the suits and sent us the "blueprints". There was a lot of small details that 3d artist got to create, but the base design was all 343.

I guess you could say 343 technically made the armor, Liquid Development just detailed it.

Hey did you make a topic like this on waypoint. I'm banned on waypoint but I would like to say that 343i sucks and should make a halo game by themselves (halo 5). Then hopefully we will get a real halo game again!

To be fair though, this was 343's first AAA title. They probably needed all the help they could get.

>People honestly asking why we should care about this.

It's nice to see the Halo 4 Defense Force is still thriving in full throttle. The games sucks ass and you will do anything to defend it. You're right though, why should I care? Why should I expect ANYTHING from a company that just sits on its ass and ruins games while making grunts eat lunch in scripted events.
Your mocking us for liking a game and all you can is sit on your ass and complain about something you know nothing about.

Bungie had prior experience with Halo and even they made some questionable decisions, they also had a much larger team to work with along with them knowing the ins and outs of their own code and 360 technology.

Now lets compare that with 343 who has no game making experience, a smaller team but a bigger budget, a engine from another company but modified to suit themselves (So don't understand it to well) and don't quite know the technology.

343 designed everything from the walls to combat to multiplayer all the other companies did was make the content based on 343's designs.

You know certain affinity? has Ex bungie workers, 343? has ex bungie workers.

So in a way Bungie messed this up not 343i.

I'm a bit sorry to inform you of this, but many AA/AAA titles get sources from the outside because of the predictions for a big launch. Halo 4, being the hugely-anticipated game that it was, had to have a lot of assistance. The only sauce you have is from Twitter and a few other generic locations.

Dammit, I didn't quote what I wanted to. They needed all of the help that they could get for their first and possibly largest title, therefore they required assistance. And saying that they outsourced their jobs elsewhere is pretty moronic, considering that most games don't have two different actors (body and voice).

Please stop your pathetic blame-game.

Well you logic is just as stupid.

Nobody who hates this game can give a good reason besides "Multiplayer sucks".....There is a lot in the multiplayer so pointing out the problem helps and argument yet nobody does.

Instead its just "Halo is now call of doody". Real clever.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Implying that the game would be even close to decent if 343 themselves made it.

343 is to Halo as MS is to Xbox if that makes sense.

Also to add, rarely do game developers make their own CGI.

OP doesn't understand game development.

enlighten us.
Shed loads of stuff is outsourced in AAA game development. 343i is a new, small team, so they're not going to be able to create everything at the high level of quality we see in halo 4. By Halo 5 their team will have grown substantially and they will do a lot more in house.

They have 300 employees. Bungie has about 200.
