What has a Castlevania game got to do with Super Metroid?Many of the Castlevanias from Symphony of the Night and onward are essentially a hybrid of Castlevania IV and Metroid, hence the term "Metroidvania".
Wow, okay then. I did not know that. I haven't played any Metroid games, and only played SOTN as a kid on the PS1, so you had me confused for a minute there...I can definitely understand your confusion, then. Give them a try, you might like them. Zero Mission would be a good starting point, as it's a remake of the first game, which is chronologically the first. I don't want to be that guy, but you can get a ROM and VBA if you don't own a GBA. Fusion is also an awesome GBA game, but it's quite a bit tougher than Zero Mission.
