I'm excited about these cars. So many benefits, with no drawbacks. Anyone who says "OMG no i like to drive and continue to risk the lives of those around me for no reason" need to get over themselves. There are drawbacks.Such as...?The inability to be able to work on these cars. I'm sure these things are going to be pretty high tech, so it would probably require a mechanic. Some people can't always afford to take their car to the mechanic, and have to do the work themselves. These cars would probably be too complicated to work on, and that to me is a drawback. Also what controls these cars? What if that system fails? Automated systems can fail and that can be very dangerous. It is much more dangerous for the human driver to fail which is much more probable than a system failing. And I guess that the mechanic thing could be considered a drawback, but it's a small one.Small to you maybe but it's a big one to me. Anyway the reason we have so many accidents is because of a -blam!- drivers education. We need to have stricter drivers ed, and harsher driving laws. We need to teach people that driving is a privilege not a right like most thing it is.
