Subject: Countries that won't exist in the next 100 years

Wow, just wow!

I'm sensing a Byzantine/Holy Roman-esque split with the United States in the future.

Why would you come that nonsensical conclusion? Are you just trying to shoehorn some names that show you have 10th grade World History knowledge?

The United States is over $14 trillion in debt. How do we fix this? By spending more, obviously! Our country will spiral further into debt. I'm not necessarily saying the Federal Government will split the US, I'm saying that states may band together and force their way out of the no longer profitable Union.

And I'm not saying this will happen, simply stating it might.

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

The USA.

It's going no where and the military industry is actually destroying the country rather than keeping it around.

The USA has never demilitarized since WW2 and poors few resources into education so instead gives foreigner's more money as an incentive to come over and fill the void of smart people.

It will not.

Study history. It would take a much bigger cultural divide to split the country. The truth of the matter is that when you look at the actual polls, and not how they are reported, you see that Americans agree with each other more than ever before.

The 24 hour news media will have you believing otherwise, but its crap. We are no where near the divide of 200 years ago.

The UK has been a member of the EU for the last 19 years.

EDIT: 39 years if you count the time when it was the EEC.

In 100 years I'm seeing less corruption in the Middle East, the West will be on its own and not be involved in other countries.

The United States is over $14 trillion in debt. How do we fix this? By spending more, obviously! Our country will spiral further into debt.

The current deficit is a product of the economic downturn. If you seek to cut that deficit through spending decreases or tax increases, you hurt the economy more.

What should be done is follow a pro growth policy until the private sector can stand on its feet. Then worry about the debt.

Ahh, I'd love to get into a political debate with you (which I'd probably most definitely lose) but alas, it is outlawed on these forums.

But I will finish by simply saying I agree with pro-growth, but take issue with other policies.

I understand if you don't want to toe the line, but economic discussion is legal. As long as you leave alone specific legislation the mods leave you alone.

Probably a bunch of African and Central American countries. It's kind of hard to make a guess, a lot can happen in 100 years.

Wasn't there a thing about Texas leaving?

It has the right to. But nothing ever officially happened. There was an online petition with 80,000ish votes that went nowhere.

Well no but I wish
