I've seen many suggestions of vehicles, but the only problem I see is with the helicopter. It would not be a good idea for the following reasons in multiplayer--

1. A helicopter is an extremely bulky piece of machinery, Bungie has a hard enough time making good multiplayer maps to suit the fans much less making one 20 times the size of containment to suit the vehicle.

2.An air vehicle that has to be piloted by two people would be just a little to complicated, and think about how you control a helicopter, it owuldnt just be like turn the sxtick up to raise your altitude.

3. Helicopoters take time to get off the ground. Imagine waiting half the game to get in the vehicle, and then being shot out of the sky as soon as you do get in the air.

Sorry if this has been posted before. I think that if there is a human flying vehicle if a t all, there will be Pelican technology incorporated in to it. Oh yea--

4. Why would the humans need a helicopter when they have the Pelican?

I don't think so mate what we want is something that is like the pelican just more smaller and agile and fast.

I think helicopters may be a litlle outdated for the time period in the game. I mean that if a pelican can hover, helicopter technology seems like going backwards. Now a smaller version of a pelican is a different story...

You are exagerating this.

1) Helicopters worked extremely well in BattleField 2: MC. Dont know why they wouldnt work here.

2) Helicopters really are about half the size of a pelican, so i dont think that is considered bulky.

3) Helicopters are considered the most manueverable and best at taking down ground troops and slower moving air vehicles.

4) In a game, the helicopter doesnt need to take that long, or have 2 people to pilot, its a game, and balance would win over realism.

5) The pelican is a drop ship, in other words it isnt an assault vehicle. There are no ground troop support vehicles besides the pelican as of now. I feel a helicopter with similar jets on it for attitude control and such would suit it fine.

Yea man, maybe your thread, but the ones I have seen suggest either a human fighter pilot or a helicopter, just to point it out to the people that want a helicopter. Yea, something like maybe Pelican but smaller and more agile.

Yea ultima geek, youre exaggerating the "half the size of a Pelican" most helicopters have the wing span of a Pelican or more if they are assault vehicles, I dont know why they do work in Battle field, but thats probably because there are server matches or whatever, and the maps arent the best detail like Halo and arent inspired at all. They may be large, but not original.

Not original... there is no map like them. They are completely original.

Anyways, here is my idea of a good one: The Sixth Day helicopter

I don't think its exagerating. To me, it just seems that using a rotating prop to create lift in a game that is based far in the future doesn't make sense. To be practical, it would look nothing like current day choppers. I don't see how it would be manueverable enough or fast enough to keep up with a Banshee.

I think a helicopter wouldn't be that bad at all.It could add a an extra element to the game.

Yea sorry g33k, I havnt really ever seen the maps, but I have seen screenshots of like desert towns in the Middle East, but whastever, all Im saying is that helicopter technology would be outdated in about 500 years. wouldnt you think?

YEs, but did you see that helicopter? You notice the back of it, it looks like vents... well those are jets. The props on the helicopter fold down into wings, and turn the vehicle into a jet aircraft.

I've challenged my beliefs. What is the book about?

I find that this is usually untrue. If religious people honestly, diligently and intelligently challenged their beliefs, there would be no religious people.

you do have a point, but like they said helicopter tech seems outdated, but there could be a mini pelican with helicopter capabilities..
