I like how your sub box is full of science and political videos but your recommendations are full of anime girls kissing each other.

.

How is that depressing?

I'm a dude playing a dude desguised as another dude. I hate heritics, non-logical thoughts and people who are better than I am. People tell me that they like a lot of games, but I hate them all. Whenever I play a video game, I always go crawling back to Halo 3. Never go full retard!

Too slow. Did not finish.

Dear tomorrow, Find some sensibility, Respond to emotion.
Dear Politician, Define sagacity,
All chances of survival are beginning to diminish.
Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.
The apathetic force us to persevere, with their backwards priorities.

Pretty colors!

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

"Trinity and Beyond" is a great documentary (narrated by William Shatner) that documents and shows the US testing shots from Trinity on. Spooky and beautiful at the same time.

Considering that only two of those were dropped directly on people, I think it's kind of neat.

It looks like the continents are talking, and in a way they were.

People need to test dem toys, only two have been used in conflict anyway.

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

That's pretty old OP, there was a huge thread about it a while back.

  • 01.04.2013 1:33 PM PDT

I saw that in history, I find it mildly amusing.

Cold War bravado. Notice how it mostly stops once the Soviet Union collapses.

Where does all of that radiation go???

Why was the UK bombing Australia, or was that just a flag mistake?

There's not much open and uninhabited area in the British Isles. My guess is that they asked/arranged it with the Aussies as part of a Commonwealth mutual defense arrangement.

Australia allowed the UK to perform tests there (since the UK doesn't have any deserts to blow up).

The ionosphere, the dirt, and the air? Radiation isn't some toxic gas that floats around forever either; it eventually collides with other objects and becomes "normal." Gamma Radiation is just highly energetic light, and alpha radiation can't even penetrate your skin.

Keep in mind that the majority of these tests were performed underground as well.

That makes sense.

I'm actually quite happy with the amount the UK did, compared to France, Russia and the US.
