The year is 1942 and the German Luftwaffes blitz against London has slowed, there demand for aircraft on the eastern front and losses over Britain have severely diminished there capabilities to wage an air war over Britain.

You are in charge of bomber command which will now we be used to focus on German infrastructure in France and Germany respectively. However your targets must be selected carefully and have god purpose for the resources given to you. The Americans bomb during the day and the RAF during night. You can choose to target German industrial capacity and supply lines, or go for electrical sub stations and other critical civilian and sometimes military structures including cities.

Now historically bomber command decided that they should bomb German industry to put a hamper on there production capabilities, and bomb Berlin to reduce morale but in many books i have read it said they should have targeted electrical systems to put Germany in a black out in many areas and hamper production/supply transport.

Its up to you guys and i am intrigued to as what you would do!

Edit: I should point out that towards the D-day invasion they started to target military formations, roads, bridges and coastal areas around France to hamper troop movements.

Turn traitor and bomb the Allies.

Cause why not?

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

I'd go for the supply lines and factories in France, and the electrical systems in Germany.

Stosh <3's me vicariously... at least someone does...

Bomb the residential areas. If I'm going to resort to terrorism, I'm at least going to be efficient about it.

Well, it was bomb the civilians in retaliation of lose your job. People were PISSED, and they wanted payback. I think the bomber crews would have done what they were told, but you would have one mission before being sacked if you didn't have Jerry paying for bombing Mayfair.

Yeah, if we're going to have a whole bunch of these threads at least let us pick sides.

Ironically a RAF bomber crew went off course during 1941 at the start of the air war over Britain (not the blitz) and bombed Berlin. This actually caused Hitler to become angered and ordered the Luftwaffe to start bombing London into oblivion. So you could argue it was that crews fault for such a target. The funny thing is it helped Britain tremendously as the Germans focused on civilian targets instead of military where as they could have pacified the RAF for the most part.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

I would be in the RAF why..? I'm American!
