pppht, like LGBT people are treated unfairly at all!
EDIT: that was sarcasm btw guys
Maybe I misread something, but the punishment didn't seem very anti--blam!- to me. It seemed more like a "you two were fighting? Well then I'm gonna tie your hands together and force you to put up with each other" kind of punishment. Even if it was to embarrass them and have people make fun of them and ask them if they're -blam!-, I still don't see a problem. It's not anti--blam!-, it's just embarrassing in general to have one's manliness or -blam!-ity brought up in general. I think people are just seeing something that's not there.
It's enforcing the notion LGBT people should be treated as poorly as they were. You think an actual G/L couple would fair any better if they were honest about themselves? It would probably be worse.
What is? Two people making fun of them cause they're being forced to hold hands? If there friends or schoolmates know they're straight, they're gonna call em -blam!- and things like that just to bug the two and/or make em feel uncomfortable. That's what kids that age do, make each other feel uncomfortable, piss each other off, etc. My point though, was that the punishment that the principle came up with, didn't seem like it was meant to belittle LGBTs, it just seems that that's how some people decided to take it.
