From What i remember about the books, it said that Johnson had an accident involving plasma grenades, and that something about the explosion caused his body to send irregular neural electric signals throughout his body. He was offered treatment, but refused it, something about him not wanting to stay in bed for about 2 weeks or something like that. As such, the flood infection forms were not able to tap into his neural system (which they infect to control the host) and so they just left him alone. Anyway, so somehow he got out, and got on a pelican, but when halo exploded, the pilots shut the pele down to avoid detection. MC picked up the pele, saved Johnson, and made his way back to earth (getting back to earth is the whole plot of first strike, so i wont spoil it.)

he survived the flood because he had some nerual disorder that disrupted his neural patterns or something he got off halo with some other people in a pelican the mc found then a little after halo blew up. read the books

Thanks to all! Almost every new post gives me some more insight. Now for the damn Graphic Novel. It should finish off the secrets. Can't wait to get mine, it looks beautiful.
