Sometimes starting back from square one does good...

Ask smart questions

Flood, I do not often ask for specific game help, but I have looked around to no avail; I have the quest "Purchase Honeyside from Riften's Stewart" under my Misc category.

The Jarl of Riften told me to speak with the Stewart, but the Stewart hasn't given me any option to purchase Honeyside. I have tried using commands to reset the quest and the previous quest over and over to no avail.

Do you have any ideas flood?

Have you killed the dragon that the Jarl, or whatever, told you about?

you have to do quest for the Jarl to get an option to buy a house.

You make out with midgets.

That game glitches all the freaking time and they never offer a patch. Screw Bethesda.

I have many quests I can't complete due to glitches.

It is very dark, and you are likely to be eaten by a Grue.

No, I don't want to join your group/clan/team/community.

Bethesda = laziest game studio ever.

The world is not beautiful: And that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty.

You have to join the imperials or stormcloaks and either take or defend Riften. Or, you get to the point in the main story that forces you to make a couple of choices.

After doing so, you can buy the house.

Also, I laugh at people who complain about glitches. I can count the glitches on one hand that I've experienced in about 300 hours of gameplay, and none of them are game breaking. For a game as massive as an elderscrolls game, that is pretty ridiculous if you think about it.

Maybe I will never be
All the things that I wanna be
But now is not the time to cry
Now's the time to find out why
I think you're the same as me
We see things they'll never see
You and I are gonna live forever

You have to do quests for villagers I think. 5 or so.

"Time passes and people move much like a rivers flow, it never ends. A childish mind will turn into noble ambition. Young love will become deep affection. The clear water's surface reflects growth. Now listen to the serenade of the water and reflect upon yourself."

Based on what I know, there are generally pre-set objectives you must complete before buying houses. For this one, I believe you have to be Thane, so do one task for the Jarl, then do five tasks for citizens.

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

I've got to say this now, since the thread didn't die.

According to an interview the reason why Bethesda is having tons of problems is due to the way the game is coded. Literally the order you weild spells, weapons, and/or going to places can cause your game to glitch. It's due to the way the game saves RAM, I think.

I couldn't think of anything creative, so I just wrote this.

Typical Skyrim glitchiness...

I have 3 items in my inventory that can't be removed because they are "Quest Items" even though I've done the quests already.

"Hey guys I have an idea!"

"What?"

"Let's make a game where you can kill everyone, and then release DLC that requires that person to be alive! Then to be -blam!-s we won't do the simple favor of bringing said person back to life!"

*slow claps*
--------------------------------------------------------------------
a few months later...

"Our DLC doesn't work on PS3? What should we do?"

"What can we do? Just write an apology to PS3 owners and call it a day."
(I don't even own a PS3 and it makes me mad.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
A few months later...

"We found a glitch that doesn't allow players to complete the game."

*Does nothing*
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day...

"We found a glitch that allows players to obtain a never ending amount of money."

*Glitch is patched the next day*
