As we all know - the monitors of the halo instalations refer to humans as reclaimers. When we look in the dictionary; under reclaimer it states "to return an object as if by error"; could this possibly mean that there was some kind of war between the humans and the forerunner? perhaps they built the halos together. I know you are all going to say that the forerunenr existed thousands of years ago, but isnt it possible that human civilisations used to be really advanced; but some kind of disaster destroyed mankind?

Hm...okay, so the word reclaimer has a direct link to "war with ancient stuff." There are other threads for this kind of thing...
I'm not saying your theory is wrong, it's just that nowadays, anyone can get away with having a popular thread as long as the first post has the word "Forerunners" in it.

Technically, couldn't any race of beings "Reclaim" something. It didn't have to be yours in the first place to reclaim it. It only means that someone claimed it first and then someone else claimed it afterwards.
