Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

Good as in not filled with obviously scripted reality shows.
I can't tell, to be honest.

Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

We should know better, because we are better.

I remember when Discovery showed Daily Planet and Mythbusters. Now all I see is Moonshiners and Amish Mafia. That makes me sad.

There's a “U” and “I” in union but just an “I” in my beliefs

The only thing keeping History channel alive is Pawn Stars.

  • 01.04.2013 9:08 PM PDT

If I ever see anyone post in a thread "That's your opinion", I immediately lose all respect for them.

Also, if you're discussing a topic with me and you resort to name calling, pull "life checks", or just call anything you don't agree with retarded without giving legitimate reasons, don't expect me to take you serious in anyway what so ever.

Nope. They've caught whatever MTV and G4 had. Nothing but a slow, painful death awaits these channels now.

Everything you know is wrong.

Watch NatGeo Wild.

It's fantastic.

I agree. At least you learn something on that show.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I think that the pendulum will eventually swing the other way, and people will once again watch educational programming. I have no idea when that will happen, particularly when its so cheap and easy for those channels to produce all those terrible reality shows. I just have faith that eventually, people will stop watching the crap and demand something approaching decent programming.

Though, the History Channel is actually getting better. There is occasionally some educational programming among the 12 hour blocks of reality shows. NatGeo also occasionally throws some educational programming in their reality marathons.

Discovery is just awful now. At least Disco's Science Channel is usually pretty good, though that has its 12 hour long bouts with terrible programming too.

Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

Nat Geo Australia has never been bad. Discovery, though... :(

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

There comes a point where a cable network passes and nothing can reverse its downward spiral.

G4, MTV and others have all passed their particular event horizon.

Discovery and History are close to theirs, Science channel is struggling against the pull.

Ad Infinitum

Everything is littered with "Storage Wars" "Whale Wars" "Pawn Wars" and "Gator Huntin'" now.

At best, it's very thin and low-depth learning. Random, irrelevant facts.

I feel like a lot of these shows are trying to cater to people that would like to think that they're smart just because they can watch an 'educational' channel.

I used to love the History channel. I remember waking up in 8th grade to watch a show on the Russian Revolution only to go to class that day and find out that we were going to read Animal Farm. Then History Channel became the Hitler Channel, and then 'lolzorgs ALiENs1!!!!1', but, now that I think about it, I prefer that over iceroad truckers, that show about axing trees in Oregon, and any of the crap they have today.

This photo depicts the essence of the history channel's progress

Halo Reach- The Black Sheep of the bunch
Halo 4- Incredible

Did you know that 93% of all statistics on the internet are made up on the spot, and that 68% of readers believe them?

When the Food network has reality tv you know things are bad. Maybe beyond the point of repair. Is nothing sacred?

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

Brighten your day with science.

No.

I prefer to be the man in a mask.

Animal planet is also down the crapper, with all the reality and rednecks with hardly any teeth left.

Then there the Military channel, or should I say "World War 2 Channel"?

History 2 is what the history channel used to be. They put all reality shows on "the history channel" and all the actual history shows on "History 2"

Discovery Australia is filled with crime programmes.

Anyway, those are the only channels I watch.
