So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

The Game

Mine never got the rings.

One does not simply stop playing Minecraft! Or Fallout!

Got an Xbox 360 the year they launched, 2005. Then that one broke down in late 2006. Then I got a new one a year or so later, then that one broke down in 2011, then got a Slim last Christmas. Still have teh Slim.

I bought a model from 2009 (Which was also my first Xbox, actually), and it's still holding up just fine.

I've had mine for 5+ years and it's still working just fine.

I'm on my 6th Xbox and not a single one got the red ring. They met different ends but never red rong.

01: Gave it away because a kid in my neighbourhood could not afford one.

02: Bounced off a wall.

03: Stubbed my toe on it when drunk. It proceed to get stomped on several times.

04: Again, gave it away. Ex girlfriends little brother.

05: The shelf it was on fell over due to a band wind storm. Window was open before hand and I was home when it started.

06: Going stong.

About three years old. It was a good ol' Xbox Core, if I remember right...Poor guy just couldn't take my constant Halo/Oblivion playing any longer. Fixed him up, worked for a couple years, died again, and he just had to be replaced. Got my Slimmy, and he and Core get along well now, so it's okay.

What goes here??

My original 360 died last year, replaced it with a Slim, and it's been working great.

I bought a used original white 360 and its lasted me 4 years now.

I'm still using my first 360 and it's never red ringed. It's about four years old.

"Before you insult someone, try walking a mile in their shoes. This way, when you insult them, you are a mile away and have their shoes."

I've had my 360 since launch, and I've never had any issues with it. Since then, I've had 3 moves and lots of climate changes... I guess I got lucky.

Want Coup? Here it is for Chrome.

I got one in 2006 then failed in 2010, I got an elite the that one failed a year later, now I have the slim and I feel like its about to explode.

Fun fact: putting frozen biscuits on top of your overheating Xbox will prolong its lifespan.

Bungie r dicks

No 360 of mine has gone and I have 3 of them
First Xbox though, was my Halo 2 blue box

Unsuccessfully trying to bring science and reason to The Flood...

Got my first 360 when it came out in 2006, and it didn't last all that long. Sent it off to get fixed/replaced and the one I got back lasted a few years until the disc tray/Hard drive failed and I had to get another one.

That one is still working fine though...

If I ever see anyone post in a thread "That's your opinion", I immediately lose all respect for them.

Also, if you're discussing a topic with me and you resort to name calling, pull "life checks", or just call anything you don't agree with retarded without giving legitimate reasons, don't expect me to take you serious in anyway what so ever.

My first xbox which I got in like 2008 died about 2 years ago and the one I got to replace it has lasted since. I did end up giving it to my sister once Halo 4 came out and I got the LE console for that.

Ive had my 360 since July 2010 and it running great. I have my room well insulated and its nice and cool so it won't overheat.

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

my Xbox from 2007 is working just fine. Of course I gave it to my brother and I have the new one. but it counts

The Xbox I bough at launch survived util may of 2010. I bought a replacement and I still have it, but I don't use it because I have the Halo 4 LE.

Non Nobis Nascimur - We are not born for ourselves.

Lets see if I remember this correctly. First 360: RRoD, ended up getting a new one plus money due to warranty and price drop. Second 360: RRoD, got a replacement plus money due to warranty and price drop. Third 360: disc drive broke, got a replacement plus money plus two free games due to warranty, price drop, and store bundle. Fourth 360: disc drive broke, warranty a few months too old, ended up buying a new one.

  • 01.05.2013 2:39 AM PDT

My first and only Xbox got it's first death only after a year of owning it, but that was when the first dashboard update happened and RROD was even more ridiculously common. I got it fixed for free but just bought a slim and never used my old one again.

I have two Xbox 360s. The 2009 Premium Fall Edition and the 2011 Fall Edition. Both are still working perfectly.
