The Xbox 360 Elite I bought when it was a newly released console finally started having issues with the disc tray. That console is in my brother's possession though, I have a slim. Both still operate, he's just having disc tray issues.

I should probably consider a slim, looking over all the posts about it on this thread... although, I'm gonna miss all the game progress I had on my RPGs and whatnot. :/

Oh well, that's life

why a murder train?Well, The Blues revolve around trains, and I'm trying to be Blues-y about it.
I think a t-rex sounds better, I mean Murder T-rex. just think about it.
This made my day.

I had one from launch, but it died a few years ago so I bought an elite right before they announced the slims.

:)

I've got a 5 year old standard Xbox.

How. Is. It. ALIVE.

I can't remember when I got my xbox, I believe its around 5 years old maybe older. Its red ringed 4-5 times, all I have to do is blow on the back of it like a cartridge and its fixed.

I am on my FOURTH Xbox 360. It has been a very bumpy and aggravating ride.

I don't understand. How's this happening? I bought my Xbox 360 in 2006 and it's working just as good as my new slim.

In my opinion, people are transporting them too much, treating them badly, putting them in enclosed spaces, exposing them to warm temperatures, etc.

I've got the one from.... whenever I got my first one. It's only failed on me once, but it was still under warranty so I sent it in, which technically means that I've only had one.

"You're a phony"

Garem is a hero, you autistic.

1st Core: Stopped reading discs.

2nd Elite: Set itself on fire.

3rd 320GB Slim: Going strong.

Yeah sounds pretty norm-

Wait. Wat was that about the second one

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

Got my 360 November 2007 and the disc tray wouldn't read discs or open on Christmas Day 2008, got it back early February. It red ringed on March 3rd, 2009,(Halo Wars came out that day).
That was my first 360.

I got a slim when they came out and about 3 months after I got it the disc tray wouldn't read discs.

I'll go ahead and admit that for a good majority of my Xbox's life, it was in enclosed space on a wooden bookshelf. However, I can also say my Nintendo GC and original Xbox still work and are 2xs older than my 360.
