:)

I was bored and so I set up the "find my phone" service on my iPhone 5. This allows you to locate and / or disable your phone in the event of losing it (or if it were stolen)

What I've noticed however, is that you can just turn the iPhone off without a passcode... effectively rendering the feature useless.

Is there a way to require a passcode before turning off?

Welcome.
You have just entered my mind. Please sign the contract before continuing further into this black hole to acknowledge I am not at fault if any mental/physical damage is caused to you whilst viewing my history. If any damage to yourself is caused, please call your whaambulance for advice.

You pull out the power button.

Better yet, don't lose the phone

However, that's not always a viable plan if the phone gets lost

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

Well who would steal a phone with the intent of never turning it on ever again?

So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

"So- So this means Im just going to be miserable for the rest of time?!"

"No. This means that you have to live life to the fullest. You have one life, live it well. Make sure you die without regrets. Get a new life, new mate, new family. You, out of all people, don't deserve a terrible fate of misery like that. Having nothing to look forward to is good. It makes sure you want to keep on going. Living is a right, not a privilege."

Or better yet, disable mobile data and avoid WiFi hotspots.
