Since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi, Libyans have begun a love affair with ice cream.

It is often said that to taste real gelato, one needs to go to Italy; but now its former colony Libya may well be en route to becoming another ice cream haven.

Never before has the decadent Italian influence on Libya been more visible.

It's nice to see the west get involved in a conflict where something good happens. Everybody thought libya was a lost cause due to the gangs that where still armed but things have really settled down.

So much so they have turned to their former colonial masters Italy for business idea's and bringing them home.

Do you think it was a good thing we got involved? Or do you still think we should have left them.
Also do you want us to get involved in Syria past trading arms and equipment?

I think we did right by those people, taking out targets that they were in no shape to deal with was a good call, this needed to be the people's victory, not a NATO victory.

Which I can honestly say it was a people's victory.

It's a shame how Tunisia and Egypt could overthrow their governments peacefully (To some degree) but Libya and Syria are/where unable to.

Syria needs a good no fly zone so the people can focus on the ground that's for sure.

Syria is a whole nother mess than needs to watched more closely, it's a -blam!- up civil war that's breaking casualty records for that region, something needs to be done otherwise it may turn into an extinction policy over there.

I agree, the only problem with Syria is the Russian naval base.

If Russia wasn't involved I would say we have no issue's, but then again our commanders say Syria's forces are stronger than Libya's so it still isn't a wise move....Yet.

Assad is no fool when it comes to military strategy and he's also shown his willingness to kill anyone he deemed a viable target by any means necessary.

True, I also heard Iran has a hand in all of this and we all know who Iran is connected to.

Basically 1 communist overlord and 2 crazy dictators are making the country a real mess.
