Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

We all have that piece of armor we want to so badly wear, but won't because it is enchanted with crappy enchantments (PC guys, keep your filthy mouths shut). How about a perk that allows you to remove enchantments already placed on an item without destroying it.

You would have to be:

100 Enchanting

Empty Black Soul Gem

This way you would be able to place your own, better enchantments on the item. I would love this so I could wear my Nightingale armor

That's definetly a good idea.

For you OP: obtain the Nightingale armor when above lvl30. The enchantments are amazing when obtained above that level. Also max out the perks in light armor and improve your armor when your Smithing is 100 and make sure you use a lot of improve blacksmithing potions. That way you will hit the armor cap with your Nightingale armor and thus it is just as effective as any other heavier form of armor.
