How could he possibly?

OT: I rarely ever vote in a poll and don't post. The notion that polls kill threads is silly, IMO.

The theory holds some truth.

I vote when it is something I have an opinion of.
I reply seldom, for most polls the vote should be your statement. Too many post because they have to unnecessarily make everyone aware of what they voted or try to sway other votes.

The reason there's usually more voters than repliers is most likely because of two factors:

A) Lurkers
B) People who were going to read the thread and not reply to the thread anyway.

It's just a visible indicator of how many of these kinds of people there are for any given thread.

Depends on the poll options.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

I only reply to a poll thread if I think it has real discussion value. If not then I'll just vote and move on.

Check out this Thread on how to help new members here on Bungie.net

I use the poll and then I might add an opinion, a why I choose that, or simply add to the discussion if one is going on already.
But sometimes If I don't feel like I need to reply I don't.

Really? I think it would have been too appropriate.

I reply if the forum poll has some sort of discussion value IMO or if the poll answers are too vague. If not, I see no reason to reply.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC
