Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.
today was a day of national grief and mourning, if bungie release the best game ever on the same day as that, it would really make them look bad.Locking this up, as there are too many "release date" threads running right now. I'm sympathetic to the feelings of British members, but please don't allow that one incident to reach forward and strangle the joy out of this day for the rest of history... nobody wins if that happens. -- Steve[Edited on 7/7/2006 by Anton P Nym]
I like to knit sweaters.....and by knit I mean PUNCH....and by sweaters I mean babies.Macgyver can build an airplane out of gum and paper clips, but Evil One can kill him and take it.
This is really random. Who said it would be released on 7/7. Yea, I almost went to London that day but my car was acting funny and didn't go.
bet you were shocked eh? i went to london the day before for a careers convention (year 10 at school) and i remember the olympics dude reading that london would host the 2012 olympics, and i thought \/\/007
no other responses? this is serious!
I heard from Yahoo that Halo 3 would be out on 3/1/07. But of course I don't believe it.
Bungie's American.
im glad u noticed
True, plus some stores are already taking reserves and estimate the date to be 11/30/07. That date probably has no value though, sense it was just retailers who said it.

yeah. it just be like releasing it on 9/11 in the U.S.
i don't think chefs stop cooking tasty pies on 9/11.People are allowed to move on, NO OFFENSE, but we can learn from the past without dwelling on it, man.[Edited on 7/7/2006]
So they probably wouldn't release it on 9/11, but maybe 7/7. Also, I'm sure somewhere in the world something tragic has happend on everyday of the year, so I guess Halo 3 should never be released.

NOt being anti-british, but it fits bungie wise, and a lot less people died.
napo is right. sure its a tragic thing but still if every single tragic event created a "void" day than we would be screwed. My birthday is on 9/10 think i care or it effects anything? no, and i knew someone who was near the buildings at the time. People can remember things and can feel sad but others still need to move on.
I don't think there's any point in debating the actual release date, rather speculating why Bungie would choose that perticular day. Reguardless that it's 7/7 and the whole deal that goes along with it (I'm tired of people talking about all the 7's) I don't think the London bombings would stop Bungie from putting out Halo 3 if it fits in with their marketing strategies etc.
I am...whimsical today.
7/7 is also nowhere near a holiday season. If it were a crap game could they release it on 7/7? Personally I don't think the bombings should effect the release date. The two are not mutually exclusive. I myself spent very little time thinking about the bombing. It's not like any victims and mourners would have to choose whether to play Halo, or attend a remembrance service. If people are queuing up to buy a game on a day of remembrance, then whose 'fault' is that? The developer's or the people in the que?
