Firstly, both are horrible Americanized burrito places. Growing up in California with many burrito shops run by Mexicans, I think both suck.
But now I live in Seattle, and a decent burrito is very hard to come by. I have both chipotle and qdoba nearby and have tried both. Hands down, qdoba is much better.
Troll. I lived in SD for several years and ate lots of authentic Mexican food. Neither place is very "Americanized" in any sense of the word. Just stop.
He has a point... It's hard to find a Mexican place in southern California that isn't gold, when I lived in Maryland I only found one GREAT Mexican place, darn good margaritas also.
