Halo 4 without hesitation. Reach had horrible gamemechanics, it was way to slow, jump-hieght too low grenades were OP, no bleedthrough melee blablabla you all heard it before.

All You Need Is Love

GAZEBOS!

I visited this thread to see a debate about video games, I stayed for the flame war between Frost and Bookshelf. You two are hilarious.

OT: I preferred Reach honestly. Invasion was such a wonderful gametype, and while I do enjoy Dominion, I never felt like there were any worthy new gametypes in Halo 4. Invasion did for Reach what Infection did for Halo 3 IMO, and even Halo 4 screwed that up. Reach had an amazing forge level, yes it had a grey palette and had static lighting, but now in Halo 4 we have white, undetailed blocks that produce a patchy dynamic lighting. Firefight was far more enjoyable for me than Spartan Ops, whose storyline is poorly tacked on to boring grinding fights. Firefight had survival undertones that made it alot more enjoyable. It's a fact that Reach had superior Theater mode too.

That being said, I do enjoy Halo 4's levels and audio more.
I feel like both games were the low point of the series in general though.

I come back to this?? lol Reach has much more playability than dull Halo 4. There's no ranking system in Halo 4 either. At least Reach had Arena, which still wasn't the best, but I wanted to play Reach, I don't want to play Halo 4. I didn't want to play Halo 4 a week after its release. Reach kept me going for awhile.. Halo 3 kept me going till Halo Reach. Games that keep a person playing are good games. Halo 4 didn't do this, Reach did.

Halo Reach 4

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I always enjoyed Reach.

Halo 4 is just atrocious in all aspects. Campaign is definitely the weakest in the series. The outsourced aspects of the campaign just prove that they really didn't care much. (Old spartans using new Mark VI/Mark VII?) Chief's massive growth spurt in the final cutscene, cheesy ending, short campaign, I could go on.

And the thing was, the campaign was short and easy even WITH all of the artificial longevity added to it. Most of the -blam!- could have been cut out. Like, most of the time when playing, I was saying to myself, "I did this already...I did this twice already."

Reach, because Halo 4's MP is just... well, use your imagination

Reach was better.

Multiplayer format much nicer: armour, layout, playlists etc.

Campaign was more grasping, albeit had nothing like The Fall of Reach's battles in my mind.

Halo 4- got bored pretty quickly.

Spartan Ops is just pressing a button to spawn hundreds of waves of Prometheans and constant dying and respawning which is tedious and boring from what I've played.

I know a lot of people have bad memories of Reach...... but I think that between Reach and H4 its obvious that Reach is a better all-round game with more features, better rules and fewer issues than H4.

H4 is nice to play I guess, but its rules and design are designed in such a way to make it easier for everyone but that makes the matches themselves unmemorable and utterly casual. I can't think of a single tough match of H4 I've had, as power weapons are available to all, instant respawn means I can jump back in without hesitation and map design makes a match random and inconsequential.

Compared to other games H4 is good. Compared to Bungies work and the quality that I expect from a Halo game..... its bad.
