Opinions are like butholes. Everyone's got one, nobody wants to hear about it.

I know nothing about computers. The maximum amount of money I plan on spending is $450 (although I'm willing to go up to $500 or even $550 if necessary).

I plan on using this laptop for school and the occasional gaming. By gaming, I don't mean games that require a lot of "resources", for lack of a better term, such as Skyrim. I'm talking about games like Elder Scrolls Online and Minecraft.

So, recommend me a laptop Flood.

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

Here you go.

If you can find a laptop with Intel 4000 Graphics then you should be fine... Not sure about the whole $550 though.

I'm partial to my Satellite, but I have a feeling no one's gonna agree with that.

It's a decent laptop, so I don't see what the big deal is.

I saw that in another thread the other day and a couple of you guys said that it was a good laptop. What kinds of games could that laptop run?

And make sure you choose the $2879 one.

It could probably play Skyrim on Medium. I think. I don't know much about laptop graphics cards, but it they're the same as desktop cards, then you should be fine.

No they're not, they're usually less powerful than the desktop equivalent.

Also, OP. It can certainly play TES Online and Minecraft. I also believe Valve's Source game would work well also.

List of game FPS results

Scroll down a bit on that site and you'll see the FPS. You can play a good amount of games, most not on high comfortable, but some.

The laptop could actually probably run Skyrim around medium to high settings.

Nice I'll definitely consider getting that if I can't find anything cheaper.

Although like I said, I don't actually need my laptop to be able to run these games so is there another one that you guys can recommend me?

This.

The HD 4000 is sufficient for light gaming.

>Gaming
>Laptop

PICK ONE!

This phrase is getting very annoying.

First, some people need mobility (go to two houses, etc). Second, you can get a good laptop for gaming without much cost (see http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G74SX/, which can run Battlefield 3 on ULTRA at 40FPS)
Sure they cost more, but you CAN HAZ BOTH!!1

He is considering a laptop with some gaming capability. Not a fullblown gaming laptop.

Also OP, I'd still recommend the Lenovo.
