Subject: Scientific Thread.

Here's the rules:
1.Start a conversation about some scientific concept that is weird and crazy, for example quantum entanglement or particles appearing from seemingly nothing.

2.Try to figure these concepts out as laymen of science.

3.NO RELIGION SHOULD BE PUT INCLUDED IN THIS THREAD

4.PLEASE ELABORATE YOUR THOUGHTS

5.Don't be afraid to put links to sources.

6.NO PHILOSOPHY UNLESS IT IS SCIENTIFIC PHILOSOPHY

Okay, I'll start with how particles appear out of nothing. A scientist by the name of Lawrence Krauss is the main proponent of this theory in how particles appear and disappear out of nothing (literally) but isn't this illogical? I personally think it is just a miscalculated discovery but please give me your thoughts on this.

Did you know physics find their origin in philosophy? Also my question is scientific of nature. For every force action there is a force counterreaction right?
