He has a point... I guess, but I don't think it's limited to just WoW.

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

Fix your title and link name OP for a more prosperous discussion.
Your current info doesn't draw very well.

OT: I think this is accurate.

I agree, but a non-gamer would think this article is utter bull-blam!-.

Of course it makes them better workers, they get used to sitting in front of a computer for hours at end grinding away for things that are barely worth their time.

I like how people are actually looking at what people are doing and noticing games having a much larger impact on how we develop as people without being outside.

People call gamers or computer nerds social outcasts who don't go out and socialize. Instead we are on the computer talking to many more people around the world than those people complaining about us.

We learn real life techniques and improve our knowledge much faster than any previous generation ever could.

It's about time employers saw that a gamer can be a good employee because of their hobby.

Back when I used to raid in WoW, I was a class manager for my guild.

I was responsible for optimal class builds for various roles, gear levels for any given level of content, boss analysis and general guild management. -blam!-, I even had to "fire" someone after he did something incredibly stupid as a capstone to his bad performance.

I was also specifically tasked with taking care of the guild bank, organizing what we had, selling what we didn't need and using the funds to supply our raiders with the necessary consumables for boss takedowns.

Too bad I can never put those skills down on a job application.

I will never forget you guys.

Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they're out to get you, it means you think you matter.

This. I'd take you out for a dinner at your favorite restaurant.

Now I don't know about that.

We call people nerds or social outcasts, because when they're forced into the real world, they don't socialize outside of their comfort zone: They sit around, play their games, and don't try to make connections with other people; they don't do anything else besides that.

While they are building limited social skills, they're not experiencing the full spectrum of human contact, and in a work environment, you need to be able to communicate with all your co-workers, and maybe even customers. If you can't speak to a person face to face because you're used to typing away behind a keyboard, then you're not going to last long in the corporate world.

I'm not dismissing these claims, or your claims, mind you. We just have to think of other scenarios too.
