How does Bruce just waltz back into Gotham, the most secure and heavily defended place in the world, with no money, no technology, and trapped in a third world country?

I didn't understand that whatsoever and that is what stood out to me.

It's a plot hole, plain and simple. The fact that we have to imagine an entire scenario for it to be plausible shows it's poor writing.

Or maybe the director didn't want to spoon feed you every aspect of the plot.

The film is already 2 and a half hours long. Having him get back to Gotham would kind of draw out the movie, and is also of irrelevancesince it clearly shows a small town directly next to the pit's entrance.

It's not being "Spoon fed" details when it's a major aspect of the plot.

The movie clearly sets up the fact that Gotham is heavily fortified by the US Army, and Bane's men. Bruce is literally penny-less, and has no access to technology whatsoever. Please, tell me how he could get into the city?

By climbing under the bridge. He is Batman after all. The government got people in, Batman surely could.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

I won't fight on the other points brought up but him somehow traveling the planet with no money and getting into a military held zone noticed is a plot hole.

Why does everyone say he is at another country? It's not said where in the world the pit is.

The government got 3 people in, by smuggling them in with supplies and food trucks. I doubt Batman stuck in with a truck.

-That part where those cops were charging at those bad guys. Everyone of them had assault rifles, but hardly any cops were getting killed. Those cops would have gotten slaughtered.
Accept for the fact that a large group of bad guys ran down the street to fight hand-to-hand, taking away the other bad guy's shot.

How does Bruce get back to Gotham in the first place? How does Bruce sneak onto a truck?

Funny how people think that you aren't allowed to discuss flaws and criticisms of something you like.

Wow.

People really don't know what a plot/plot hole is.

Somebody linked a website back there about major and minor plot holes and the first major one I read was essentially:

Why did Jim Gordon send all the cops into the sewer to get Bane? Isn't he smart and shouldn't he have predicted the trap?

First of all, the way people react is not a plot hole, if it is anything, it is characterization (unless they act in an impossible way).

Second, let's see... How did Jim Gordon react when he found out that the Joker was going to blow up a hospital? Oh, he sent everybody to the hospitals? But what if the bombs had blown up and killed the police force? No, it worked. Might as well do it again.

Next, he was hospitalized by his encounter with Bane. One might suppose he was acting emotionally.

Next, a major theme of the movie is that Gordon's old style of tough justice is no longer relevant in peace times. This would be an example of him going in, guns blazing.

I love both Dark Knight movies. I think they are the best comic book movies ever made and they are stupendous, but in terms of PLOT and not PLOT DEVICES, The Dark Knight Rises blows the Dark Knight out of the water.

Online Gaming's pretty much like a zombie movie. There are a lot of mindless idiots roaming around but you find some survivors on the way.

I'm pretty sure the nuke was a much bigger and more pressing aspect.

1) Where was it stated that Bruce was penny less? I understand Wayne Enterprises was on the verge of bankruptcy, but that would not leave him bankrupt himself unless Bruce poured all of his cash into the company.

2) He's Bruce Wayne. A billionaire. I'm fairly certain he has a lot of contacts and resources in every corner of the globe.

3) Ras' Al Ghul taught him to walk on ice. The only way in and out of Gotham is via the frozen water around the city.

There's little part of Batman Begins where Bruce throws his wallet away and then travels the world without a passport for a couple years. It was already established in the trilogy that he has no problem traversing borders and traveling, it was the first thing he did on his road to Batman.

And then he could have gotten into Gotham in two ways that have also already been established in the trilogy:

1. Walking across the ice. In Batman Begins he trains with Ra's al Ghul by walking on thin ice.

2. Sneaking across the bridge, because he was trained to be a master of infiltration.

You don't see Bruce getting into Gotham because it's not important. He got into Gotham, and you accept that he did because its been set up that it's something he could do already. It's base to say, "They didn't show this happening, so there's no way it could have happened".

They didn't show it happening because they didn't need to, they likely thought about it and decided it's more powerful and more like the character to have his be appearance a mystery. Part of the magic of the character. So when Selina is caught off guard by Bruce's return, so are you. It's one of the better parts of Nolan's storytelling in the movie, since at other times he seemed to want to beat the audience over the head with obvious things. He didn't do that in this instance.

3rd edition. Now with more grunt.

TFS 4 lyfe

Everything just felt very silly. Like the random underground army, both main villains dying pathetically and the whole "unarmed cops vs assault rifles" scene. It was good, just not as great as TDK.

Of those 73 things, probably the vast majority were opinions, and the rest were pretty much directorial mistakes (I did notice that day to night screw up during the chase scene when I watched it).

The only one I cannot really explain, and was on my mind earlier, was the whole location of the R&D room. How Bane knew, and, is it in the basement? Because I think I remember them opening a bookshelf in foxes office and being there (elevator maybe?).

Why were there no guards outside the pit? How were the prisoners getting food? Was Bruce really getting enough food to be able to get stronger and maintain muscle? I imagine he'd need like 5000 calories a day, and 200 grams of Protein at the least...something I imagine he wouldn't get in a prison.

Why do Bane and Talia want to blow up "corrupt" Gotham, when organized crime is gone?

He's Batman. Head ate all the guards for energy.
