The population is almost 110-125k daily, and that's not shrinking. Shut the hell up about the shrinking population when it's not shrinking.

Neither of you have actually checked the stats at all have you? It IS shrinking.

inb4lolhalochartspeaks

It is not, last night it was at like 100-120k and that is a lot of people. But of course, stupid console kiddies gonna stupid.

clearly the other guy wasn't very good at Maths, and you're saying "inb4 proper evidence" Feel free to continue to insult me even though I'm right. The chart is correct, your random making up of numbers isn't.

Another dumbass who doesn't know how the population counter works. The one displayed in Halo 4 is the population at that very moment.

Millions of different people still play the game through the day. At the very least, at least 900,000 different people played the game throughout a day. (And that was a slow day, forgot when it was).

LolHalocharts

Just get on Halo 4 and do the math yourself; much more reliable than an averaged-out chart of Halo 4 for one day. Yes, let us just break in a chart that waives everything else out and just averages the entire day into one line on a chart; seems smart.

With this sad population, its obvious that people do not like Halo anymore.

The multiplayer is trash (I'm an SR 35 with a 2.5 K/D. Even Reach at least felt like Halo. THis feels like... A CoD wanna be.

A CoD wanna-be? Trust me, Black Ops 2 is much more popular than Halo 4. Halo 4 is somewhat unloved. I feel as though Black Ops 2 was a more successfuly CoD than Modern Warfare 3 but that Halo 4 is less good than Halo 3. So whilst Call of Duty is getting less -blam!-, Halo is getting worse.

They have ones for average, peak population etc. the chart isn't wrong, and the trend it's showing isn't wrong either. And I seriously cannot believe how ignorant you are being about it, you're saying the chart is wrong because it averages the day out (it doesn't) but then you're right by taking 2 readings of the current population on halo, averaging out the whole day again.

To emphasize, Halocharts take the most online at once, not throughout the day. It's not evidence at all.

That chart doesn't tell me about how many UU's were in the last 24 hours, it is worthless.

I laugh when ignorant people compare a 24 hour count of Halo 3 and the highest peak of the day in Halo 4 and pretend to claim that the population is shrinking. No, if you don't know anything about statistics don't bother to pull that card, don't make yourself look like an idiot.

Also, it is the 2nd most played XBL game, but of course the game is nearly dead, isn't it?

This is an important factor to remember. Wasn't Halo 3's counter updated at intervals?

I'm better than you :P

The CoD features aren't even the issue with the game. It's mainly the DMR and Boltshot.

I feel as though Halo 4's multiplayer is broken. There are so many flaws that I've found, repetitiveness, and the same five maps over and over and over again. I missed the fun times I had in Halo 3 messing around with my friends in custom games and goosing in Matchmaking. Halo 3 had a replay value that Halo 4 doesn't live up to.

  • 01.06.2013 10:35 AM PDT

Meh. It's to be expected really. Every game series changes gradually, sometimes for the best, sometimes for the worst.

I wouldn't go as far to say nobody likes Halo anymore. People will still buy the games regardless because of the name, and there's always new gamers which will probably prefer the newer to the old.

While I enjoyed Reach more than 4, I'll probably still buy Halo games for another while yet.
