Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

If someone has taken the time, put in the effort and has been consistent in building an online persona, I tend to remember and recognize some names and people (actually, I recognize more than I imagined I would care to).
But it does take time and persistence.
Those who have the persistence and take the time, but jump between accounts/names/alts? No idea who any of them are, because the fact is that anyone could (and many do) "claim" to be someone infamous... and honestly, there's no way to know (or be bothered) to care "who is who" in that situation.
So do you not care too much about alts of banned users?
To me, an account is an account. Unless and until that account posts, I know nothing about it or the person on the other end of it.
If that person then makes a post that is rule breaking, or references that they are "back from the dead"? Then I care, and remove that account.
I've had the same conversation with those who want or tried the path of infamy. At any time, they can make another account and simply try the "light side" path (I know it sounds too Jedi with the dark/light side nonsense but really, that sort of applies) and I couldn't tell their "latest attempt" from any other new member who is doing their best to find a comfortable and fun niche within this community.
Hell Ken, you "could" be a reformed disruptor, I couldn't know and wouldn't care. If you were to ever say, "I am/was actually _____" though, and I remembered that account, I would ban you for ban evasion (by attempting to come back and retain that infamy). But no link, no claim, no attempt to get some sort of "boost" from their former bad-boy days? A friendly and contributing member is just that, nothing less and nothing more.
