Subject: Why do some games prices suddenly skyrocket?

Not a lot of copies were printed, so the price never really dropped like most other games. A lot of Atlus games go through the same situation and they end up reprinting a lot of them so most people can afford it. It's crazy that a DS game like Radiant Historia shot up to like $70 or more before it got new copies.

There just aren't enough moments in the day to rectify the wrongs of the past.

I took Economics people...Saved the notes from the course too, i'm looking for a reasonable explanation on why non-affiliated companies might suddenly shoot up prices for something that isn't in high demand.

  • gamertag: [none]
  • user homepage:

Lady Astor: "If I were your wife I'd put poison in your coffee."
Winston Churchill: "If I were your husband I'd drink it !"

As they stop getting produced then the user demand goes up, especially games where the company goes bust and the game is a hit

High demand I would assume.

I hate that i only got like 15 for it two years ago when i traded it in, and now it's considered a rarity.

Because someone in the marketing department told them that people will want to buy it more. Making video games is a business, they don't shoot up prices if they don't think lots of people will buy them at an accelerated rate.

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

Niche market too for games like that.
